Dr. Stergiopoulos awarded by the American Cancer Society
Dr. Sotirios G. Stergiopoulos, MD, FACP, has been awarded the lifetime achievement award by the American Cancer Society for his long-standing dedication to fighting cancer.
Dr. Stergiopoulos graduated from PUMS Medical Class of 1999 and continued on to train at the National Institutes of Health, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Harvard University. He also holds an M.B.E.E. from the Johns Hopkins University. He is an accomplished physician executive and oncology thought leader. He has held numerous leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry with companies including Novartis, Bayer, and Celgene. He was Chief Medical Officer, SVP and Head of Global Medical Affairs at Ipsen. He is currently President & CEO at A2A Pharmaceuticals startup. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the US Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs.
