We cordially invite medical students in their 5th and 6th years of studies, PhD students and PUMS post-graduate medical internship trainees, to participate in the five-day event International Exchange in Brno at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, that will take place on June 24-28, 2024. Participation in the event is registered as international training, and participants receive 2 ECTS points.

Event program:
Monday 09:00am - 2:00pm - Introduction, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, 8th floor (outpatient clinic, operating room), MED MUNI and SIMU https://www.med.muni.cz/simu/en/about-simu
Tuesday 07:00am - 2:00pm - Ward rounds, operation room, outpatient clinic, live surgery with real patients
Wednesday 07:00am - 2:00pm - Ward round, ER, 7:00pm dinner with the team (place to be decided)
Thursday 07:00am - 2:00pm - Ward round, operation room, outpatient clinic, live surgery with real patients
Friday 07:00am - 2:00pm - Ward round, operation room, outpatient clinic.

The ERASMUS+ program will support each qualified person in the amount of EUR 180 for travel expenses and EUR 406 for the costs of stay in Brno.
If you are:
• PhD student/resident with UMP affiliation (you have priority care)
• 5th and 6th year student of the Faculty of Medicine,
• interested in surgery and/or orthopedics,
• membership in the scientific club of surgery and/or orthopedics gives additional advantage.

We are waiting for your CV and cover letter as well as a document confirming efficiency in English at a minimum level B2 (British Council FC, AC or certificate from the PUMS Foreign Language Dept. with a grade of at least good).
